Jess Morgan

Hi there! I'm Jess 👋🏻 I'm originally from Australia but have lived overseas since 2017 after graduating from Deakin University in Melbourne. I spent nearly 5 years living and working in Germany, which is where I met my husband who is in the US Army JAG Corps. I moved to Washington DC in November 2021 where I worked as a personal trainer in an F45 gym until we moved to Charlottesville, VA in July 2022. I decided to jump back into education and took a job as curriculum coordinator and classroom teacher at the International School of Charlottesville from August 2023 to June 2024. I am now doing tutoring full time!

I ensure that children are engaged in hands-on, concrete activities to solidify both simple and complex concepts, while simultaneously building confidence in all learning areas. I use assessment to gauge student understanding and to ensure that I am designing relevant and appropriately challenging learning experiences. My tutoring sessions can focus on one specific content area or subject, or a more general overview of all grade level standards. I am able to offer virtual sessions to students all around the world - please inquire to discuss if this is a possibility for your child.
